Once you've clicked on the above link, the DateTree software will be downloaded onto your computer. It is distributed in .dmg format. (Your browser may automatically open this file for you, or you may need to double click on it.) A Finder window will open with the DateTree application inside it, and you can drag the application right out of the Finder window and into your applications folder to install it.

For those who have arrived on the downloads page and want to know what this is: DateTree is an application for Mac OS X that will copy files into a set of folders named by date. Although the program was written with images in mind, it will handle any file. Selective copying is possible, and several date-based organizations are offered. DateTree can organize files, movies or photos by date on Mac OS X. It copies your files into folders named by date. It reads the EXIF dates that cameras store inside images.
