OpenIDOpenID is good technology. It lets you have one standard centralized web identity, protected with a username and password. When you want to make a comment on some weblog, you don’t have to make an account on that weblog, you just use your OpenID to authenticate. Your ID is actually a webpage that you control. Mine is my home page. You put a tiny bit of magic text into the webpage, and poof it works! There needs to a a little server somewhere that checks your password, but it doesn’t have to be in the same place as your webpage. I set one up on xyzzy. If you want to set this up let me know.
