Funny-stupid love test

Found OKCupid online while surfing a random blog. It’s a bit like a Myers-Briggs personality test crossed with the Purity test crossed with that “what sci-fi character are you” thing that was going around a while back.

I am The Gentleman. A bit boring. But probably not inaccurate.

Ok folks, this is the participatory part of the blog. Everyone reading this is expected to complete the test (make up a screen name and a fake email address when prompted, since you don’t need it to see your results… unless you want to meet fabulous new friends online).

I want to see everyone following up to this entry with a comment as to what type you are…

BTW- Just mailed my paper draft to my prof for comments. Shouldn’t have surfed so many blogs this aft… ah procrastination!

The Window Shopper

Mrrrh! I don't like the title of mine. >:(

However, the description isn't THAT bad, so I should be thankful, I guess. Here's the link to mine: http://www.okcupid.com/personality?type=RGLD&g=2&o=3

Bleh! The Boy Next Door

Keltie and I turn out to be the same personality type, and neither of us thinks it's a good characterization. More problematic is the question of which personality type I'd *like* to be. To say nothing of which personality type I'd most like to *do*. I didn't think much of the accuracy of my Myers-Briggs results, either. Your mileage may vary.

I thought I was soooo clever too

Noting the use of the paragraph separator tag, I figured that I could use other HTML elements in this comment field too. Wrong! Or anyway, in my last comment I tried to hide some stuff between angle-bracket bang and dashes. Didna work. Oh well.

One more time

Sorry- I hit return. What I was going to say is that I'm a window shopper too, so you at least have some company Keltie. Fortunately for me, it recommends that I go out with a Gentleman. So far so good! :)

So far so good?!?

For you two, yeah, but now Andrew and I have to break up. Thanks a lot, Colin!

oh dear

Hm. We apparently have a problem, as according to this test, both Dan and I are COMPLETE ASSHOLES!! Apparently we're edgier than we thought-- Dan is the VaporTrail (RandomBrutalLoveMaster) while I am the BattleAxe, (DeliberateBrutalLoveMaster). Hm. Hm. Hm.
(To those of you who always guessed that I was the battleaxe, shut up. No, seriously.)

a breath of accuracy

OK, so I forced Hilary to take the test, and it was stunningly accurate. She was the PlayStation-- attractive, elusive and altogether yum. Big Fucking Surprise.

Time for... analysis

For all of us dubious about our categorization- I want to stir the pot some more :) by asking- so where did the test go wrong? There are four axis. Personally, I think I'm more Brutal than Gentle- which would me a Wild Rose. Mwahahaha!
W.S. Description Wrong?

See, I think Jen's type (RGLD) is pretty accurate. I don't see her as the brutal type b/c the brutality they talk about seems to be pretty intentional (as opposed to random burnination). The other types near hers don't seem quite right. I think the Window Shopper type is not as well defined in the description... they only talk about the love motivations of that type.

the Maid of Honor

I came up as a Deliberate Gentle Love Master... I guess I would agree that my best quality is that I am affectionate and my worst that I am indecisive. And my perfect match is... the Gentleman!
