Grocery Store Poll

Sometimes, I become hungry. I must eat the food at these times. Sometimes at these times I have to go to the grocery store for other reasons and it seems like I could easily just buy something random at the store for instant (in the car) consumption along with the supplies I need.

I’m often confused about what to buy in these circumstances. It seems that it is a store full of food (unless you are at the wrong store in which case it is mostly children’s clothing) so I should be able to get something there…

So, what do you all think… what is the best food to buy under these circumstances?

I'll assume 'just buy a chocolate bar' is not an acceptable answer. So, here's my list:

* pack of rice cakes
* cheese of your choice
* a tomato
* some olives from the deli section
* an apple
* a banana

You'll have leftovers of the non-produce items. That's fine. Put them away when you get home.

also...

I generally agree with Dan, but I'd also add some melba toast to go with the cheese. And I'd skip the rest of the list. So... cheese. And melba toast. Ya.

It's easy!

Chocolate chip cookies.

My obvious answer:

Cheese Candy! Crackers are optional.

go nuts

I have taken to eating nuts as a snack. Almonds (unsalted) are my favourite. The great thing about nuts is that they fill you up quite quickly and then you are full and stop eating (probably doesn't work if they are salted). They are said to be good for you as well. Mmmm...
